The last will and testament of Jony Waterson als McYlrea who departed this life about the 11th June at the making hereof she was in perfect memory
First she committed her soul to God, her body to Christian burial
Item she bequeathed to Esther Prescott a blanket and sheet Item she left to Jony Waterson her hood
Item she left to Jane Comish one shilling
Item to her brother James his children sixpence
Item she bequeathed to the said Jony Waterson and Ester Prescott all her shaped linen and woollen clothes between them
Item she nominated and appointed her husband Henry Waterson sole executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever
Witnesses Ann Quayle, William Clague
The executor sworn in Court in form of law

- Rushen was a common location for Watersons, and McYlrea-Waterson marriages were frequent across the generations
- She married Henry Waterson, date unknown. She had no children?
- The Thomas Mylrea who married Margaret Waterson in 1702 might have been her brother?
- Brother James …….?? [no record of a James’s birth or history] Could James have been the beginning of brushmakers? James Fisher Mylrea born about 1780
- Perhaps her father was Thomas & her aunt Katherin Cain who died in 1696?
- There is much about the Malew Mylreas of the 1600s and early 1700s that does not hang together so extreme caution must be exercised
